Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Bakewell's Rich Armstrong started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Howard Wildman showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rich Armstrong, who was totally free with the ball in the 5th minute. 19 minutes into the match, Bakewell's goal looked a bit too open when Vincent Jewson came free, but Warren Hargraves reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 24th minute, Vincent Jewson left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Purbrook fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. If Dean Kempson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Howard Wildman was a little too slow when Rich Armstrong got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 38th minute. The score was now 2-1. Rich Armstrong was extremely unlucky when he, in the 45th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Wes Henderson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 57 minutes into the game, Mattias Thackray was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Bakewell's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Purbrook the free kick. After a rather tough play, Bakewell's Mattias Thackray got a free kick in the 57th minute. An unexpected shot in the 60th minute by Dean Kempson got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. If Wes Henderson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 62nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wes Henderson recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 71st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 74thth minute of the game Mattias Thackray who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Purbrook's Howard Wildman was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 75th minute, Blair Kerr hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 76th minute, Damien East fired a really elegant long shot, but Warren Hargraves threw himself and managed to get hold of the ball just in front of the right post. 3-2 became the score in the 78th minute when Vincent Jewson elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. Warren Hargraves made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vincent Jewson in the 82nd minute of play. Purbrook's Howard Wildman played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rich Armstrong in the 89th minute of play. A collision led to Purbrook getting a freekick after 90 minutes play. Dylan Holdsworth hit a great ball. After a defensive mix-up in Purbrook's zone, Rich Armstrong stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Howard Wildman came out of the goal and Rich Armstrong tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Purbrook's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
