Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Ken Wagstaff took the kick off in the first half of the match. The referee gave Wellesbourne a penalty, 5 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Kasey Tully, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Old Bexley's Ted Butcher. 1-0. Miles Pyrah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Butcher having to interfere. Ted Butcher showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Miles Pyrah in the 12th minute of the match. Bruce Hanson sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Miles Pyrah blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Ted Butcher having to make a save. If Bruce Hanson had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Miles Pyrah in the 18th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Ted Butcher saved Old Bexley from getting behind. 22 minutes into the match, Old Bexley's goal looked a bit too open when Miles Pyrah came free, but Ted Butcher reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Old Bexley's Ted Butcher played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Miles Pyrah in the 28th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Wellesbourne's zone, Garth Conway stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Devon Long came out of the goal and Garth Conway tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Old Bexley's Tod Garrett got a good chance for a goal in the 34th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Devon Long showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Garth Conway in the 37th minute of the match. Tod Garrett fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Devon Long having to interfere. In the 39th minute, Wally Renwick hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Garth Conway struck a weak shot in the 41st minute. Devon Long didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Old Bexley. In the 43rd minute, Billie Blackley left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Old Bexley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Miles Pyrah to strike the kick off in the second half. Garth Conway recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 56th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Garth Conway could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 61st minute of the match, but Devon Long made a huge save. After 62 played minutes Wellesbourne got a freekick which was hit by Wally Renwick. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Andre Robins during the 64th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Old Bexley's Andre Robins got a free kick in the 64th minute. Miles Pyrah fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ted Butcher having to interfere. Bruce Hanson's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Ted Butcher read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 74th minute of play. After 76 minutes, Wally Renwick mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Wellesbourne and the Old Bexley players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Old Bexley booed when Wellesbourne was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Wally Renwick didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Tod Garrett during the 78th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Old Bexley getting a freekick after 78 minutes play. Tod Garrett hit a great ball. Devon Long made an important save on a dangerous shot by Garth Conway in the 86th minute. In the 92nd minute, Garth Conway got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 93rd minute, Garth Conway left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Old Bexley fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Old Bexley's Garth Conway got a good chance for a goal in the 97th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar.
