Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Doug Armstrong got the match started through his kick off. 6 minutes into the game, Great Baddow's Bob Shepherd nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Dane Clist made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. Dane Clist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mike Hulbert, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A hard shot 13 in the game by Doug Armstrong from a close distance when the talented Barney Browne managed to make a qualified save. Great Baddow's players were relieved. After having played for 14 minutes, Dennis Faulkner managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kidderminster's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dennis Faulkner was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Doug Armstrongs short, quick shot in the 19thth minute got Barney Browne to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Great Baddow's Barney Browne proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 20th minute of the match, managed to save Great Baddow from getting a goal against them. Dane Clist took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Calum Timmins, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. CJ Noble hit a great freekick 28 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Kidderminster's Dennis Faulkner ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Barney Browne. Barney Browne yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. Mike Hulbert recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 39th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. A collision led to Kidderminster getting a freekick after 39 minutes play. Johnathon Seagrave hit a great ball. Doug Armstrong came free with the goalkeeper in the 44th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Barney Browne could save by the left post. Barney Browne stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Dennis Faulkner's shot from short distance in the 45th minute. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-1.
When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Calum Timmins made a kick off. Dane Clist made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mike Hulbert in the 52nd minute. Dennis Faulkner recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 53rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Great Baddow's zone, Dennis Faulkner stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Barney Browne came out of the goal and Dennis Faulkner tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Dennis Faulkner had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute, Bob Shepherd hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dane Clist showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Calum Timmins in the 68th minute of the match. Great Baddow's Barney Browne played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Doug Armstrong in the 69th minute of play. Dennis Faulkner scored 4-1 in the 73rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Barney Browne, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Dane Clist made a fantastic save in the 80th minute, when Mike Hulbert sent off a good shot on target. After 82 minutes, Dennis Faulkner mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Kidderminster and the Great Baddow players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 83rd match minute, Kidderminster was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Dennis Faulkner to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Doug Armstrong in the 86th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Barney Browne prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Graeme Rice fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kidderminster's protests and gave Graeme Rice a yellow card for diving instead. After 87 played minutes Kidderminster got a freekick which was hit by Graeme Rice. A collision led to Kidderminster getting a freekick after 88 minutes play. Doug Armstrong hit a great ball. After 90 played minutes Great Baddow got a freekick which was hit by Mike Hulbert. After some fancy dribbling in the 92nd minute, Dennis Faulkner managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kidderminster's supporters rose to their feet, but Dennis Faulkner was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Barney Browne breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Kidderminster walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
