Leroy Button charged in rather forcefully in the 3rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leroy Button the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After a rather tough play, FC Bloki Dukla's Leroy Button got a free kick in the 3rd minute. In the 6th minute the ball was on its way in behind Milton Keynes's goalkeeper Rupert Denham, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rupert Denham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Rodd Senior in the 13th minute of play. With 15 minutes on the clock, Jeffrey Blackhurst commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 14th minute of the game. One of FC Bloki Dukla:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Milton Keynes:s goal. The goalkeeper, Robert Munday, was totally fooled by Milton Keynes's Junior Jewson, who 17 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Robert Munday showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jerry Floyd, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. The crowd rose to their feet as Milton Keynes's Jerry Floyd slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Robert Munday. That made the score 2-0 after 25 minutes of play. After 30 played minutes Milton Keynes got a freekick which was hit by Barrie Ash. Robert Munday made a fantastic save in the 32nd minute, when Barrie Ash sent off a good shot on target. After a defensive mix-up in FC Bloki Dukla's zone, Ivan Theobald stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Robert Munday came out of the goal and Ivan Theobald tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Through an outstanding action, after 37 minutes, Robert Munday successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. 39 minutes into the match, FC Bloki Dukla's goalkeeper Robert Munday had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Darius Elvins. Colin Knowles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 42nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rupert Denham having to make a save. An unexpectedly hard shot by Colin Knowles in the 45th minute of play forced Milton Keynes's goalkeeper Rupert Denham to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. When Colin Knowles came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the FC Bloki Dukla fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Colin Knowles couldn't finish the play. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Colin Knowles made a kick off. After some careless play in the FC Bloki Dukla defense, Jerry Floyd kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Robert Munday. The FC Bloki Dukla fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Robert Munday should have stopped the shot. FC Bloki Dukla's Colin Knowles got a good chance for a goal in the 55th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. FC Bloki Dukla's Leroy Button got a good chance for a goal in the 57th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Barrie Ash's late challenge caught a FC Bloki Dukla's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Barrie Ash helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of FC Bloki Dukla booed when Milton Keynes was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Barrie Ash didn't get a good kick on the ball. The crowd rose to their feet as FC Bloki Dukla's Colin Knowles slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Rupert Denham. That made the score 3-1 after 60 minutes of play. Colin Knowles succeeded in the game's 65th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 3-2. In the 70th minute of the match Junior Jewson sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Robert Munday skillfully saved the ball. Colin Knowles received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Rupert Denham tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Colin Knowles in the 77thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Rupert Denham, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. After 78 minutes of play, Milton Keynes's Ivan Theobald made it 4-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Robert Munday was left in no man's land by his defense there! Robert Munday came out of the goal in the 81st minute to try and stop a shot by Milton Keynes's Jerry Floyd. But to his dismay, Jerry Floyd quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-2. Barrie Ash was shown his second yellow card after 84 minutes, following a rather ugly tackle on opponent. That was the end of his participation in the match. In the 84th minute, Barrie Ash hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Colin Knowles blasted a shot towards the goal in the 90th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Rupert Denham having to make a save. If Laurence Houlahan had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Jerry Floyd during the 94th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Jerry Floyd kicked well hit freekick during the 94th minute of the match. For all the effort they put into the match, the FC Bloki Dukla players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Milton Keynes.
