Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Len Bowland scored 1-0 in the 7th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Des Rawlings, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Nicky Fitter who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 9thth minute tested the skills of Des Rawlings when he managed to save the team from getting behind. 11 minutes into the match, Thetford's goal looked a bit too open when Len Bowland came free, but Des Rawlings reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Len Bowland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Des Rawlings having to interfere. Thetford's defense didn't have a chance, in the 15th minute, when Len Bowland scored to the left of an out of position Des Rawlings, making the score, 2-0. A hard shot 20 in the game by Nicky Fitter from a close distance when the talented Des Rawlings managed to make a qualified save. Thetford's players were relieved. Len Bowland fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Des Rawlings having to interfere. When Nicky Fitter came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the Stony Stratford FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicky Fitter couldn't finish the play. After 26 minutes of play, Stony Stratford FC's Len Bowland made it 3-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Des Rawlings was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 36thth minute of the game Len Bowland who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Thetford's Des Rawlings was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 38th minute, Stony Stratford FC's Len Bowland ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Des Rawlings. Des Rawlings yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 4-0. A collision led to Thetford getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. Allan Titmus hit a great ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Nicky Fitter got free with Des Rawlings in the 45th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Nicky Fitter came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Stony Stratford FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nicky Fitter couldn't finish the play. Des Rawlings took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Len Bowland, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 4-0.

When Stony Stratford FC's Len Bowland in the 54th minute got a chance for a shot 54th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Thetford's goalie prevented a goal. Nicky Fitter sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alfred Parry during the 58th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Thetford getting a freekick after 58 minutes play. Alfred Parry hit a great ball. 59 minutes into the game, Len Bowland cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-0. Des Rawlings was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. After some fancy dribbling in the 62nd minute, Len Bowland managed to get in a good position for a shot. Stony Stratford FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Len Bowland was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Des Rawlings breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The audience was convinced that Nicky Fitter's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Des Rawlings was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Nicky Fitter's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Des Rawlings read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 65th minute of play. After having played for 68 minutes, Nicky Fitter managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stony Stratford FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Nicky Fitter was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Thetford's goalkeeper Des Rawlings, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. If Nicky Fitter had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 73rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Travis Baldwin kicked well hit freekick during the 75th minute of the match. Thetford's Rodney Harban got a good chance for a goal in the 79th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Des Rawlings made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicky Fitter in the 80th minute of play. Robert Warne kicked well hit freekick during the 81st minute of the match. Des Rawlings made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Nicky Fitter in the 82nd minute of play. 84 minutes into the match, Stony Stratford FC's Nicky Fitter sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Des Rawlings narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Des Rawlings made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Len Bowland in the 90th minute of play. Stony Stratford FC's Johnathan Cousins played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Warren Bailey in the 92nd minute of play. Len Bowland blasted a shot towards the goal in the 97th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Des Rawlings having to make a save. Stony Stratford FC's supporters were delighted with their team's performance and swarmed onto the pitch at the end of the match to celebrate the victory with the players.
