Spectators: 38 (Terracing: 29, Seating: 9, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Kristopher Everard started the match with the kick off. 2 minutes into the game, one of Great Ayton` United:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. Kirk Hepburn went to the wrong direction when Johnathon Haigh was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. Kirk Hepburn took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Jay Plant, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Kirk Hepburn showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Jay Plant, who was totally free with the ball in the 7th minute. If Laurence Bale had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. If Philip Ash had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jay Plant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kirk Hepburn having to interfere. When the match had gone on for 14 minutes, Philip Ash put it in 1-0 from a short distance just to the right of Kirk Hepburn. The crowd rose to their feet as Jay Plant kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Kirk Hepburn. That made the score 2-0 in the 17 minute of play. After 23rd play minutes Jay Plant shot 3-0, a short shot which went by Kirk Hepburn and just under the crossbar into goal. After 34 minutes of play, Thē Ŵhïppętś's Philip Ash made it 5-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Kirk Hepburn was left in no man's land by his defense there! In the 37th minute the ball was on its way in behind Great Ayton` United's goalkeeper Kirk Hepburn, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 44 minutes into the match Philip Ash climbed in front of goal and pressed up 7-0 in the right cross behind a totally surprised Kirk Hepburn. Kirk Hepburn made an important save on a dangerous shot by Philip Ash in the 48th minute. Af the end of the first half the score was 7-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

Philip Ash received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Kirk Hepburn tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Philip Ash had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 59th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philip Ash recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Jay Plant's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Kirk Hepburn was relentless in the 66th minute of the game. Kirk Hepburn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Philip Ash's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. In the 68th minute, Jay Plant left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thē Ŵhïppętś fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 8-0. If Philip Ash had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Philip Ash fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kirk Hepburn having to interfere. Jay Plant recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 75th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Kirk Hepburn stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Philip Ash's shot from short distance in the 79th minute. Kirk Hepburn showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jay Plant in the 85th minute of the match. The supporters of Thē Ŵhïppętś booed when Great Ayton` United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 86 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tod Wilkins didn't get a good kick on the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 90th minute, Philip Ash managed to get in a good position for a shot. Thē Ŵhïppętś's supporters rose to their feet, but Philip Ash was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kirk Hepburn breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Jay Plant fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 91st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kirk Hepburn having to interfere. After having played for 92 minutes, Philip Ash managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Thē Ŵhïppętś's supporters crossed their fingers, but Philip Ash was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. In the 94th minute, Philip Ash left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Thē Ŵhïppętś fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 9-0. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Thē Ŵhïppętś had played much better football throughout.
