Vic Eagles spun around in front of the goal 10 minutes in the game, and got away a shot that, to his disappointment, went to the left of Addlestone's goal. In the 11th minute, Matty Carter hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 16th match minute, Addlestone was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Matty Carter to maneuver through the defense. Leroy Winter made a great header on Yateley United's corner, it was just that Addlestone's Scott Kinsey managed to reach the ball for a save. Vic Eagles received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Scott Kinsey came out and tried to block the shot, but Vic Eagles slotted it home off the left post making it 1-0 in the 27th minute. Leroy Winter's late challenge caught a Addlestone's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Leroy Winter helped the player get up and apologised. After recieving a nice pass, Addlestone's Gary Orchard tried to score from far away in the 31st minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Bart Friebe got free with Scott Kinsey in the 33rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Larry Odell sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpectedly hard shot by Vic Eagles in the 40th minute of play forced Addlestone's goalkeeper Scott Kinsey to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 44 minutes into the match, Yateley United's goal looked a bit too open when Damon Childs came free, but Tony Blower reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Tony Blower took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Damon Childs, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 47th match minute, Yateley United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joshua Harrington to maneuver through the defense.

The referee ignored Yateley United's protests and gave Marc Tubbs a yellow card for diving instead.
