Laurence Buchanan succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-0 in the 11th playminute. Glenn Hotte sent away a hard shot on goal in the 16th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 29th minute, Laurence Buchanan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. George Homes blasted a shot towards the goal in the 32nd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Freddy Boyes having to make a save. Coombe's defense didn't have a chance, in the 36th minute, when Glenn Hotte scored to the left of an out of position Thom Payne, making the score, 2-0. The audience thought a goal was coming when Laurence Buchanan got free with Thom Payne in the 38th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ricky Fletcher in the 40th minute of play forced Porthcurno City's goalkeeper Freddy Boyes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 42nd minute of the match, Glenn Hotte tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Thom Payne saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. George Homes fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Freddy Boyes having to interfere. George Homes's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Freddy Boyes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 45th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Coombe's Darren Paley got a free kick in the 46th minute.

The wind increased when Glenn Hotte made the kick off in the second half. Thom Payne took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Glenn Hotte, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 63rd minute, Glenn Hotte ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Thom Payne was frozen by the shot and now it was 3-1. Thomas Little's late challenge caught a Coombe's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Thomas Little helped the player get up and apologised. Thomas Little hit a great freekick 67 minutes into the match. Mickey Mayall kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 72nd match minute, Porthcurno City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Colin Lovell to maneuver through the defense. If George Homes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Freddy Boyes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from George Homes in the 85th minute of the match. In the 87th minute of the match Dan Lane shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Thom Payne showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Porthcurno City's Thomas Little got a free kick in the 91st minute. George Homes sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Many of Coombe's supporters were seen to leave the ground early as it became clear their team was going to lose. Coombe may have spent more time on the ball, but Porthcurno City were more willing to take their chances and they walked away with the win.
