Spectators: 36 (Terracing: 28, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Huey Dawson started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Alf Broadhurst received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Nicky Bensley tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Carlin How Unite's Nicky Bensley played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rhys Rain in the 12th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Alf Broadhurst during the 16th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Rhys Rain struck a weak shot in the 18th minute. Nicky Bensley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nottingham Forest. In the 21st minute Nottingham Forest were awarded a corner. Sebastian Cummings went to the cornerflag to take it. In the 28th minute of the match Blair Eagles shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Nicky Bensley showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. 40 minutes into the match, Carlin How Unite's goal looked a bit too open when Alf Broadhurst came free, but Nicky Bensley reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nicky Bensley took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Alf Broadhurst, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 45 minutes, Rhys Rain managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Nottingham Forest's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rhys Rain was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-3.

Alf Broadhurst made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 58thth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Nicky Bensley would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. After some fancy dribbling in the 61st minute, Rhys Rain managed to get in a good position for a shot. Nottingham Forest's supporters rose to their feet, but Rhys Rain was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Nicky Bensley breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Rhys Rain had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Alf Broadhurst fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicky Bensley having to interfere. Nicky Bensley was out of position in the 73 minute of play, and Rhys Rain capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Rhys Rain really showed his touch with that goal: 1-4. With a little luck, Carlin How Unite's Nicky Bensley got control of the ball when Alf Broadhurst tried to sneak it across the goal line. Warren Bolton came out of the goal in the 85th minute to try and stop a shot by Carlin How Unite's Luke Brearley. But to his dismay, Luke Brearley quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. Rhys Rain fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 88th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nicky Bensley having to interfere. Blair Eagles got a throw-in 90 minutes in the game and the ball was received by Denzil Prendergast. A collision led to Nottingham Forest getting a freekick after 93 minutes play. Gavin Nelson hit a great ball. 98 minutes into the match, Nottingham Forest's goal looked a bit too open when Huey Dawson came free, but Warren Bolton reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The Carlin How Unite fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Nottingham Forest were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
