After some fancy dribbling in the 5th minute, Ralf Cowling managed to get in a good position for a shot. Manchester Devils's supporters rose to their feet, but Ralf Cowling was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Karl Charie breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. John Paul Armitage kicked well hit freekick during the 7th minute of the match. In the 9th minute Leadershot Town were awarded a corner. Marius Vasilache went to the cornerflag to take it. Marius Vasilache received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 12th minute. Tommy Ellis tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tommy Ellis showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ash Higson in the 13th minute of the match. 24 minutes into the match, Manchester Devils's goal looked a bit too open when Marius Vasilache came free, but Tommy Ellis reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 26th minute Marius Vasilache shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Tommy Ellis saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 27th minute, Raul Candal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 34 minutes into the game, Mike Griffiths cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-1. Tommy Ellis was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. 39 minutes into the match, Manchester Devils's Ralf Cowling sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Karl Charie narrowly saved just below the crossbar. With a little luck, Leadershot Town's Karl Charie got control of the ball when Russ Maxwell tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 41st match minute, Leadershot Town was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tales Sá to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Manchester Devils's Raul Candal got a free kick in the 43rd minute. Marius Vasilache took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 44th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Tommy Ellis. Manchester Devils's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mike Griffiths to strike the kick off in the second half. Tommy Ellis made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mike Griffiths in the 51st minute of play. In the 52nd minute, Ralf Cowling made a precise shot to the right of Karl Charie. Leadershot Town's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-1. Tommy Ellis made a fantastic save in the 55th minute, when Marius Vasilache sent off a good shot on target. Karl Charie stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ralf Cowling's shot from short distance in the 57th minute. Grant Sands struck a weak shot in the 58th minute. Tommy Ellis didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Leadershot Town. In the 59th match minute, Leadershot Town was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Marius Vasilache to maneuver through the defense. In the 67th minute, Grant Sands hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Viktor Tidén's late challenge caught a Manchester Devils's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Viktor Tidén helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Manchester Devils booed when Leadershot Town was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 70 match minutes in a wonderful position. Viktor Tidén didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute, Russ Maxwell made a precise shot to the right of Karl Charie. Leadershot Town's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-1. Mike Griffiths kicked well hit freekick during the 76th minute of the match. The supporters of Leadershot Town booed when Manchester Devils was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 77 match minutes in a wonderful position. In the 89th minute of the match Marius Vasilache sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Tommy Ellis skillfully saved the ball. Manchester Devils's defense didn't have a chance, in the 93rd minute, when Marius Vasilache scored to the left of an out of position Tommy Ellis, making the score, 2-3. When the final whistle went the supporters of Leadershot Town were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Manchester Devils side.
