The Elstree Town fans' excitement grew in the 19th match minute when Elstree Town's Gareth Child looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 0-2 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. Elstree Town's Peter Robson played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by 彭翔德 in the 33rd minute of play. In the 35th minute Syd Barrett shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Peter Robson saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 36thth minute of the game Gareth Child who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but DS Milan's Emilio Posada was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Tony Carlisle fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Peter Robson having to interfere. Gareth Child sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. 彭翔德 was the one to do the kick off. In the 54th minute of the match DS Milan got a corner. Elstree Town's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Barney Widdrington ran over to the corner to take the kick. A nice corner shot did that Barney Widdrington got away a dangerous shot. Despite this Peter Robson quite easily got ahold of the ball to make the save. The audience cheered when Barney Widdrington's long shot passed Peter Robson's right side. It was 1-2, 54 minutes into the match. Gareth Child sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Gareth Childs short, quick shot in the 58thth minute got Emilio Posada to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tony Carlisle in the 61st minute of play forced Elstree Town's goalkeeper Peter Robson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 66th minute, 彭翔德 managed to get in a good position for a shot. DS Milan's supporters rose to their feet, but 彭翔德 was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Peter Robson breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Peter Robson showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sidney Groom in the 75th minute of the match. Gareth Child's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 76thth minute, Emilio Posada skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Syd Barrett in the 87th minute of play forced Elstree Town's goalkeeper Peter Robson to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 89 minutes into the match, Elstree Town's goal looked a bit too open when 彭翔德 came free, but Peter Robson reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bortzaioriz Sancha came free with the goalkeeper in the 92nd minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Emilio Posada could save by the left post. In the 95th minute, Liam Ginn hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 96 minutes, Andrew Johnson mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Elstree Town and the DS Milan players grew even worse after the yellow card. Andrew Johnson kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Elstree Town had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
