In the 12th minute Franz Midgley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwyn Boyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. With his leg Luke Bush managed to avoid a goal in the 31stth minute, when Great Yarmouth's Freddy Vine fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Gwyn Boyes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Matt Friend in the 32nd minute of play. Luke Bush showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Damien Nicoll, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Gwyn Boyes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Donny Beckwith in the 35th minute of the match. The supporters of T H F C booed when Great Yarmouth was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Pierre Bridge didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gwyn Boyes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Matt Friend, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 40th minute of the match T H F C got a corner. Great Yarmouth's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Daniel Gillow ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner ended in Daniel Gillow almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Great Yarmouth's Gwyn Boyes did a great save. Daniel Gillow's long shot made the audience stand up and applaude when it rumbled by Gwyn Boyes on his right side and into the goal. 40 minutes into the game it was 0-1. After a defensive mix-up in Great Yarmouth's zone, Matt Friend stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Gwyn Boyes came out of the goal and Matt Friend tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franz Midgley in the 46th minute of play forced Great Yarmouth's goalkeeper Gwyn Boyes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 48th minute Franz Midgley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwyn Boyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Gwyn Boyes made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Jeffrey Inman sent off a good shot on target. An unexpectedly hard shot by Franz Midgley in the 52nd minute of play forced Great Yarmouth's goalkeeper Gwyn Boyes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Gwyn Boyes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Franz Midgley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 60th minute of the match, Jeffrey Inman tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Gwyn Boyes saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. Daniel Gillow came free with the goalkeeper in the 68th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Gwyn Boyes could save by the left post. Pierre Bridge's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Luke Bush read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 70th minute of play. 74 minutes into the match, Great Yarmouth's goal looked a bit too open when Matt Friend came free, but Gwyn Boyes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 77th minute Franz Midgley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Gwyn Boyes saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Gwyn Boyes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Donny Beckwith, who was totally free with the ball in the 79th minute. Nick Burns kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. T H F C's Shawn Coulson was substituted for Matt Friend. In the 83rd minute, Nick Burns hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 93 played minutes Great Yarmouth got a freekick which was hit by Marty Bettinson. The Great Yarmouth fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. T H F C were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
