In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind New Brighton's goalkeeper Chams Hanoune, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Chams Hanoune made an important save on a dangerous shot by Aksil Madjer in the 7th minute. The supporters of Northwich AFC booed when New Brighton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 8 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aydril Oulhaci didn't get a good kick on the ball. Aksil Madjer received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 9th minute. Bouzid Bensaïd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chams Hanoune made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Kheireddine Kermali in the 30th minute of play. 32 minutes into the match, New Brighton's goal looked a bit too open when Kheireddine Kermali came free, but Chams Hanoune reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 33rd minute Kheireddine Kermali shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chams Hanoune saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Aksil Madjer might have been able to make a better finish in the 36th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Chams Hanoune. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Aksil Madjer ran back to his position shaking his head. Kheireddine Kermali sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. New Brighton's Chams Hanoune proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 44th minute of the match, managed to save New Brighton from getting a goal against them.

Chams Hanoune showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Kheireddine Kermali in the 52nd minute of the match. In the 59th minute Bachir Zarabi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bouzid Bensaïd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Northwich AFC fans' excitement grew in the 63rd match minute when Northwich AFC's Kheireddine Kermali looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 1-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for New Brighton. After a defensive mix-up in Northwich AFC's zone, Bachir Zarabi stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bouzid Bensaïd came out of the goal and Bachir Zarabi tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Bouzid Bensaïd made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bachir Zarabi in the 93rd minute of play. Raouf Benyagoub received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Bouzid Bensaïd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Northwich AFC's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
