The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Hatim Bencherif struck a weak shot in the 4th minute. Hamid Brahimi didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Alresford. 6 minutes into the game, Otman Cherrad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Alresford's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave East Grinstead AFC the free kick. The supporters of East Grinstead AFC booed when Alresford was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otman Cherrad didn't get a good kick on the ball. After a rather tough play, Alresford's Badis Ramdane got a free kick in the 10th minute. Ghanim Yahia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 17th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ibrahim Liegeon having to interfere. 30 minutes into the match, East Grinstead AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hatim Bencherif came free, but Hamid Brahimi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 32 minutes into the match, Amir Bouchnak had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Ibrahim Liegeon. Alresford's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Amir Bouchnak was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Alresford's Ibrahim Liegeon played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ghanim Yahia in the 38th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Bouziane Benhamou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alresford's supporters rose to their feet, but Bouziane Benhamou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hamid Brahimi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Amir Bouchnak scored 0-2 in the 45th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ibrahim Liegeon, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot.

The wind increased when Ghanim Yahia made the kick off in the second half. Ibrahim Liegeon didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Aras Aflelou went, in the 52nd minute, to the upper right corner, 0-3 was the resulting score. In the 67th minute of the match Otman Cherrad sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Hamid Brahimi skillfully saved the ball. After some fancy dribbling in the 69th minute, Hatim Bencherif managed to get in a good position for a shot. Alresford's supporters rose to their feet, but Hatim Bencherif was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Hatim Bencherif in the 79th minute of play forced East Grinstead AFC's goalkeeper Hamid Brahimi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to East Grinstead AFC getting a freekick after 80 minutes play. Hilal Mazigh hit a great ball. Alresford's Hatim Bencherif got a good chance for a goal in the 81st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 83rd minute, Amir Bouchnak hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hatim Bencherif sent away a hard shot on goal in the 87th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Amir Bouchnak fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ibrahim Liegeon having to interfere. 92 minutes into the match, East Grinstead AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hatim Bencherif came free, but Hamid Brahimi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The East Grinstead AFC players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
