Prescot United's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rachid Zaghouane ran over to the corner to take the kick. Ali Bedjaoui's late challenge caught a New Romney City's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Rachid Zaghouane was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 25th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Youcef Bouraada in the 27th minute of play forced Prescot United's goalkeeper Abdelaziz Zaâmoucha to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Amayas Benzine in the 28th minute of play forced New Romney City's goalkeeper Badis Merah to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 30 minutes into the match, Prescot United's Amayas Benzine sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Badis Merah narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Badis Merah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Amayas Benzine, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. When Chadli Mazari fell near the penalty area in the 47th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Prescot United's protests and gave Chadli Mazari a yellow card for diving instead. Chadli Mazari kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Amayas Benzine fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 73rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Badis Merah having to interfere. After having played for 76 minutes, Mahmoud Saïd managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Through an outstanding action, after 80 minutes, Badis Merah successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Abdelaziz Zaâmoucha showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mahmoud Saïd, who was totally free with the ball in the 85th minute. 86 minutes into the match, Prescot United's goal looked a bit too open when Sahrane Dziri came free, but Abdelaziz Zaâmoucha reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 87 played minutes Prescot United got a freekick which was hit by Akawel Benhamou.
