Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Rabah Belaout kicked off to start the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Stéphane Chaouchi in the 4th minute of play forced Gainsborough's goalkeeper Boualem Abbes to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 6th minute, Houari Boulmerka hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Souad Hamdoud blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kader Ouadah having to make a save. 15 minutes into the match, Gainsborough's goal looked a bit too open when Rabah Belaout came free, but Boualem Abbes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 18thth minute of the game Souad Hamdoud who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Long Hanborough's Kader Ouadah was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Houari Boulmerka could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 20th minute of the match, but Kader Ouadah made a huge save. In the 23rd minute, Boubaker Zaghloul hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. It was beautiful to see Long Hanborough's Azzouz Zughba in action when he in the 24th minute dribbled his way through a couple of opponents and the fired away a shot from almost standing still. First the ball seemed to get in, but turned out to be on the outside of the net. A great chance! Gainsborough's Boualem Abbes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stéphane Chaouchi in the 27th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Long Hanborough's zone, Houari Boulmerka stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Kader Ouadah came out of the goal and Houari Boulmerka tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Gainsborough's Boualem Abbes played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Stéphane Chaouchi in the 37th minute of play.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Souad Hamdoud to make the kick off. Rabah Belaout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 52nd minute. Boualem Abbes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 55th minute the ball was on its way in behind Gainsborough's goalkeeper Boualem Abbes, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Tahar Bouazza's late challenge caught a Long Hanborough's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tahar Bouazza helped the player get up and apologised. In the 79th minute, Tahar Bouazza hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rabah Belaout blasted a shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Boualem Abbes having to make a save. Rabah Belaout might have been able to make a better finish in the 83rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Boualem Abbes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Rabah Belaout ran back to his position shaking his head. With a little luck, Gainsborough's Boualem Abbes got control of the ball when Stéphane Chaouchi tried to sneak it across the goal line. In the 97thth minute of the game Souad Hamdoud who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Long Hanborough's Kader Ouadah was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Gainsborough's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
