But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fouhad Gourion couldn't finish the play. 14 minutes into the match, Karim Madjer had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Bendjedid Akvayli. Birmingham Selly Oak City's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Karim Madjer was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. After having played for 18 minutes, Karim Madjer managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kings Cross AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Karim Madjer was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Birmingham Selly Oak City's Abdelmalik Dali Bey in the 30th minute got a chance for a shot 30th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. In the 40thth minute of the game Karim Madjer who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Birmingham Selly Oak City's Bendjedid Akvayli was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. In the 43rd minute, Zaïm Dali Bey hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Fouhad Gourion sent away a hard shot on goal in the 46th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After the first half Kings Cross AFC were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Abdelmalik Dali Bey to strike the kick off in the second half. After a rather tough play, Kings Cross AFC's Fouhad Gourion got a free kick in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute Abdelhafid Abdessalam shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Chakib El Ouchem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Fouhad Gourion received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Bendjedid Akvayli tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Chakib El Ouchem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdelmalik Dali Bey, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Abdelhafid Abdessalam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 84th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chakib El Ouchem having to interfere. Fouhad Gourion could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 95th minute of the match, but Bendjedid Akvayli made a huge save.
