The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Abbes Matmour was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Bouabdellah Saâdani showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-0 in the 6 minute of play. 10 minutes in the game, Bouabdellah Saâdani fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Abbes Matmour having to interfere. Chih Cherif sent away a hard shot on goal in the 12th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Bouabdellah Saâdani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 14th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chih Cherif struck a weak shot in the 16th minute. Abbes Matmour didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Dunton Bassett United. With a little luck, Lower Stondon FC's Abbes Matmour got control of the ball when Chih Cherif tried to sneak it across the goal line. Abbes Matmour took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bouabdellah Saâdani, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 26 minutes into the game, Hafid Lamine Kab was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Dunton Bassett United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Lower Stondon FC the free kick. Hafid Lamine Kab hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 27 minutes into the match, Lower Stondon FC's Bani Ioualalen broke free and took a long shot that unfortunately flew wide. Anaba El Kenz fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdeldjalil Hamruche having to interfere. Mesbah Kaci fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdeldjalil Hamruche having to interfere. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Atik Allahoum stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Abbes Matmour made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Chih Cherif in the 54th minute of play. When Atik Allahoum came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Lower Stondon FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Atik Allahoum couldn't finish the play. Bouabdellah Saâdani blasted a shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abbes Matmour having to make a save. Abbes Matmour showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bouabdellah Saâdani in the 69th minute of the match. The audience was convinced that Atik Allahoum's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Abdeldjalil Hamruche was relentless in the 74th minute of the game. Chih Cherif might have been able to make a better finish in the 77th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Abbes Matmour. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. After some fancy dribbling in the 87th minute, Bouabdellah Saâdani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Dunton Bassett United's supporters rose to their feet, but Bouabdellah Saâdani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abbes Matmour breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Chih Cherif received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Abbes Matmour tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 92 minutes into the game, Chih Cherif cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-0. Abbes Matmour was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in.
