The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Ikhlas Mezali showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Djafar Matmours short, quick shot in the 10thth minute got Ahmis Zaghouane to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 13thth minute of the game Aflawas Menguellet who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Sowerby Bridge's Ahmis Zaghouane was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. If Okacha Ammour had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aggur Kaci Said kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. In the 25th minute, Lakhdar Hima sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Sowerby Bridge's Ahmis Zaghouane didn't even have to move. Djafar Matmour who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 30thth minute tested the skills of Ahmis Zaghouane when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Ikhlas Mezali showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zidan Douadi in the 35th minute of the match. Aflawas Menguellet received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 47th minute. Ahmis Zaghouane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Okacha Ammour made the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Seaford's zone, Yazid Khadra stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ikhlas Mezali came out of the goal and Yazid Khadra tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Yazid Khadras short, quick shot in the 53rdth minute got Ikhlas Mezali to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. When Okacha Ammour came up free with the goalie in the 68th minute, the Sowerby Bridge fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Okacha Ammour couldn't finish the play. Yazid Khadra sent away a hard shot on goal in the 70th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 72nd minute Aflawas Menguellet shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ahmis Zaghouane saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Yazid Khadra received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 75th minute. Ikhlas Mezali tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Kamel Belkhadem during the 75th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 79 minutes, Lazhar Zian mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Seaford and the Sowerby Bridge players grew even worse after the yellow card.
