If Taha Ben Arfa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thelma Kherroum kicked well hit freekick during the 20th minute of the match. After having played for 31 minutes, Ghalib Harkouk managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Weaverham FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Ghalib Harkouk was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mouloud Guendouz in the 34th minute of play forced Heybridge United's goalkeeper Redha Kafi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 47th minute, Mouloud Guendouz got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Mouloud Guendouz made the kick off in the second half. Réda Bridji made an important save on a dangerous shot by Taha Ben Arfa in the 52nd minute. In the 53rd minute Yazid Zidane shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Réda Bridji saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee showed Farid Benboudaoud the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 59th minute of the game. One of Weaverham FC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Heybridge United:s goal. Weaverham FC:s Réda Bridji showed great skill when he stopped Riad Zeghdoud:s penalty. If Daniel Masmouda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 64th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Yazid Zidane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 66th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
