The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. In the 14th minute, Baligh Ziani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Hextable's Mohamed Guellil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Yunes Djura in the 17th minute of play. In the 18th minute, Mesbah Belbey reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Menad Feraoun. The goal made the score 1-0. Adrir Touati hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. Brahim Kermali could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Menad Feraoun made a huge save. In the 32nd match minute, Hextable was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Rabah Ezzouaoui to maneuver through the defense. After 34 played minutes Hextable got a freekick which was hit by Mourad Semghouni. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

After 55 minutes, Farès Ali mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Hextable and the Abbey Wood players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 55 played minutes Hextable got a freekick which was hit by Farès Ali. Zidan El Ouazzani received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 57th minute. Mohamed Guellil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hextable's Farès Ali got his second yellow card of the match in the 73rd minute. The referee ordered Farès Ali off the ground. After 73 played minutes Hextable got a freekick which was hit by Farès Ali. Zidan El Ouazzani fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 75th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Mohamed Guellil having to interfere. Ayache Boumabadji kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. If Yunes Djura had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Hextable's zone, Yunes Djura stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohamed Guellil came out of the goal and Yunes Djura tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 92 minutes into the match, Abbey Wood's goal looked a bit too open when Brahim Kermali came free, but Menad Feraoun reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hextable's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
