Kheireddine Asma received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 2nd minute. Haggi Amsallem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Abdelhafid Bestandji in the 4th minute of play forced Brighton's goalkeeper Haggi Amsallem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of Hockley United booed when Brighton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 4 match minutes in a wonderful position. Afalawas Kouici didn't get a good kick on the ball. Badr Bachtobji received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Tahar Dahmane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hockley United's Tahar Dahmane proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 12th minute of the match, managed to save Hockley United from getting a goal against them. 16 minutes into the match, Brighton's goal looked a bit too open when Kheireddine Asma came free, but Haggi Amsallem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 20 minutes into the match, Hockley United's Abdelhafid Bestandji sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Haggi Amsallem narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Kheireddine Asma might have been able to make a better finish in the 21st minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Haggi Amsallem. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kheireddine Asma ran back to his position shaking his head. When Hockley United's Abdelhafid Bestandji in the 23rd minute got a chance for a shot 23rd didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Brighton's goalie prevented a goal. In the 28th minute, Abdelhafid Bestandji got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Afalawas Kouici kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Brighton's Afalawas Kouici got a free kick in the 32nd minute. In a very dangerous position, a player in Hockley United fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 34th minute. Penalty! Abdelhafid Bestandji received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Haggi Amsallem tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Badr Bachtobji fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 41st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Tahar Dahmane having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Hockley United's zone, Ismaïl Lacarne stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Tahar Dahmane came out of the goal and Ismaïl Lacarne tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. All the noise was coming from the home fans when the whistle went for half-time. The home team had fought hardest to put themselves in a deserved lead.

If Ismaïl Lacarne had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 56 minutes into the match, Brighton's goalkeeper Haggi Amsallem had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Kheireddine Asma. Hockley United's Abdelhafid Bestandji got a good chance for a goal in the 58th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 62nd minute, Bachir Ziani hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Brighton's Haggi Amsallem played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Abdelhafid Bestandji in the 66th minute of play. Haggi Amsallem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Abdelhafid Bestandji in the 78th minute of the match. 80 minutes into the game, Brighton's Ismaïl Lacarne nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Tahar Dahmane made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. In the 84th minute, Hockley United's Abdelhafid Bestandji ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Haggi Amsallem. Haggi Amsallem yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 2-1. When Afalawas Kouici fell near the penalty area in the 87th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Brighton's protests and gave Afalawas Kouici a yellow card for diving instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 96th minute, Ketta Firoud managed to get in a good position for a shot. Brighton's supporters rose to their feet, but Ketta Firoud was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Tahar Dahmane breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Brighton fans cheered their team off the field, for while Hockley United had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
