Cheikha Belhocine was slow to take the kick. During this time Upminster AFC's players had a chance to rest. 7 minutes into the match, Upminster AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Bilal Beloufa came free, but Chahine Benzaghou reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chabane Zaccari blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Abdechahid Gaddouch having to make a save. Naïm Kourichi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 14th minute. Abdechahid Gaddouch tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The supporters of Upminster AFC booed when Bristol Fishponds United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Chahine Abdi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Naïm Kourichi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Bristol Fishponds United's Hikmet Balaid got a free kick in the 37th minute. The first half was very even, with the score at 0-0 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Naïm Kourichi made a kick off. Fateh Kacha sent away a hard shot on goal in the 55th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Chahine Benzaghou made an important save on a dangerous shot by Bilal Beloufa in the 57th minute. Bilal Beloufa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 59th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chahine Benzaghou having to interfere. If Chabane Zaccari had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Chahine Benzaghou took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Bilal Beloufa, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Affi Boudjedra during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Bristol Fishponds United booed when Upminster AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 82 match minutes in a wonderful position. Affi Boudjedra didn't get a good kick on the ball.
