The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Walid Bouraada recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 4th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The audience was convinced that Akram Yahlali's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Atik Hamrouche was relentless in the 5th minute of the game. Liss United's Akram Yahlali got a good chance for a goal in the 9th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The referee ignored Bebington's protests and gave Bekathen Korteby a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bebington's Bekathen Korteby got a free kick in the 18th minute. In the 26thth minute of the game Ibrahim Segni who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Bebington's Atik Hamrouche was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. 28 minutes into the match, Liss United's Walid Bouraada sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Atik Hamrouche narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Bekathen Korteby got his second yellow card in the match during the 30th minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. After 31 played minutes Bebington got a freekick which was hit by Bekathen Korteby. Ziad Bencherif fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 35th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chedli Guendouz having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Liss United's zone, Ziad Bencherif stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Chedli Guendouz came out of the goal and Ziad Bencherif tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kendi Ghennouchi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 40th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 52 played minutes Liss United got a freekick which was hit by Akram Yahlali. The audience thought a goal was coming when Walid Bouraada got free with Atik Hamrouche in the 59th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Sofyane Zenia fell near the penalty area in the 59th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bebington's protests and gave Sofyane Zenia a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Liss United booed when Bebington was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Sofyane Zenia didn't get a good kick on the ball. Ziad Bencherif fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chedli Guendouz having to interfere. If Ziad Bencherif had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 68th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Allaoua Yahlali came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Bebington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Allaoua Yahlali couldn't finish the play. In the 71st minute, Ziad Bencherif left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Bebington fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-0. Liss United's Chedli Guendouz played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ziad Bencherif in the 75th minute of play. Ziad Bencherif sent away a hard shot on goal in the 77th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
