In the 18th minute, Waltham Cross FC's Toufik Benzaghou dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. 22 minutes into the match, Stockport FC's goalkeeper Zinedine Lamine Kab had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Yacoub Ali. Abdelmoumen Brahmia hit a great freekick 38 minutes into the match. After recieving a nice pass, Stockport FC's Nasreddine Ali tried to score from far away in the 39th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Stockport FC booed when Waltham Cross FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fawzi Zaâmoucha didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nasreddine Ali was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 42nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Assad Zouccal charged in rather forcefully in the 45th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Assad Zouccal the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Stockport FC getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Assad Zouccal hit a great ball. The audience held their breath when Ghani Salhi in the 47th minute of the game managed to trick the opponents defenses and fired away a shot outside the goal on the Zinedine Lamine Kab's left hand side. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Antar Saadane to make the kick off. Antar Saadane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Yassine Oussalah having to interfere. In the 59th minute, Fawzi Zaâmoucha hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After a defensive mix-up in Stockport FC's zone, Yacoub Ali stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zinedine Lamine Kab came out of the goal and Yacoub Ali tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 66th minute, Toufik Benzaghou ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Zinedine Lamine Kab was frozen by the shot and now it was 2-1. After having played for 78 minutes, Yacoub Ali managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Waltham Cross FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Yacoub Ali was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Yassine Oussalah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Antar Saadane in the 83rd minute of play. In the 85th minute Toufik Benzaghou shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Zinedine Lamine Kab saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Stockport FC's Bakki Redouane got a free kick in the 86th minute. Toufik Benzaghou might have been able to make a better finish in the 87th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Zinedine Lamine Kab. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Toufik Benzaghou ran back to his position shaking his head. If Messaoud Benida had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 90th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 92 minutes, Yacoub Ali managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal.
