Ifthen Zaaf stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Toufik Benzaghou's shot from short distance in the 3rd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 4th minute, Yacoub Ali managed to get in a good position for a shot. Waltham Cross FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Yacoub Ali was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ifthen Zaaf breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Hertford City booed when Waltham Cross FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 6 match minutes in a wonderful position. Toufik Benzaghou didn't get a good kick on the ball. Yassine Oussalah came out of the goal in the 11th minute to try and stop a shot by Hertford City's Mesbah Kouici. But to his dismay, Mesbah Kouici quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. Ifthen Zaaf showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Toufik Benzaghou in the 19th minute of the match. Ifthen Zaaf showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Yacoub Ali, who was totally free with the ball in the 20th minute. When Bakezda Khodri fell near the penalty area in the 21st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Hertford City's protests and gave Bakezda Khodri a yellow card for diving instead. In the 21st minute, Bakezda Khodri hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Yacoub Ali in the 22nd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ifthen Zaaf prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Yassine Oussalah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Youssef Meskine, who was totally free with the ball in the 25th minute. Mesbah Kouici could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 32nd minute of the match, but Yassine Oussalah made a huge save. After having played for 34 minutes, Mesbah Kouici managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Hertford City's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mesbah Kouici was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a rather tough play, Waltham Cross FC's Rabah Cherrad got a free kick in the 37th minute. In the 39th minute Hertford City were awarded a corner. Mansour Halouadji went to the cornerflag to take it. Yassine Oussalah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Youssef Meskine, who was totally free with the ball in the 41st minute. 47 minutes into the match, Mesbah Kouici notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Waltham Cross FC's Yassine Oussalah. Yassine Oussalah was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Toufik Benzaghou to strike the kick off in the second half. Mesbah Kouici received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Yassine Oussalah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Mesbah Kouici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 64th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Waltham Cross FC's Rabah Cherrad got a free kick in the 65th minute. In the 66th minute, Youssef Meskine left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Hertford City fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 3-0. 83 minutes into the game, Rabah Cherrad was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Waltham Cross FC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Hertford City the free kick. After 83 played minutes Waltham Cross FC got a freekick which was hit by Rabah Cherrad. After 84th play minutes Mesbah Kouici shot 4-1, a short shot which went by Yassine Oussalah and just under the crossbar into goal. Yassine Oussalah made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Mesbah Kouici in the 88th minute of play. If Mesbah Kouici had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 91st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Youssef Meskine received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Yassine Oussalah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere.
