Rachid Korteby kicked well hit freekick during the 3rd minute of the match. Atmane Saadane scored 0-1 in the 5th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Adel Kacha, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. 14 minutes into the game, Gebril Djebbour cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Adel Kacha was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Yannis Khaldi during the 19th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Gebril Djebbour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adel Kacha having to interfere. A collision led to Westhoughton getting a freekick after 22 minutes play. Djallil Saci hit a great ball. Madjer Mezghenna's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Adel Kacha read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 23rd minute of play. When Yannis Khaldi came up free with the goalie in the 24th minute, the Westhoughton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yannis Khaldi couldn't finish the play. Gebril Djebbour fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adel Kacha having to interfere. Anwa Boufroura hit a great freekick 29 minutes into the match. In the 35th minute, Gebril Djebbour made a precise shot to the right of Adel Kacha. Westhoughton's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-3. Gebril Djebbour received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 38th minute. Adel Kacha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 46 minutes into the game, Youcef Difallah was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Westhoughton's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Crewe City the free kick. If Atmane Saadane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Disappointed in the 1-3 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.
The audience thought a goal was coming when Gebril Djebbour got free with Adel Kacha in the 53rd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. When Gebril Djebbour came up free with the goalie in the 55th minute, the Crewe City fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gebril Djebbour couldn't finish the play. Abdel Karim Saïd didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yannis Khaldi went, in the 57th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-3 was the resulting score. Yannis Khaldi kicked well hit freekick during the 63rd minute of the match. Ahmed Belaout sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Yannis Khaldi fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 69th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abdel Karim Saïd having to interfere. In the 79th minute, Yannis Khaldi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Abdel Karim Saïd showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ahmed Belaout in the 83rd minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Crewe City's zone, Youcef Difallah stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Abdel Karim Saïd came out of the goal and Youcef Difallah tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 87th minute Ahmed Belaout shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Abdel Karim Saïd saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ahmed Belaout received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Abdel Karim Saïd tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Crewe City's Abdel Karim Saïd played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ahmed Belaout in the 94th minute of play. The Crewe City players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
