Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ahmed Belaout made the kick off which started today's match. The supporters of Leek booed when Westhoughton was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 2 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ahmed Belaout didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rafik Kourichi hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. Lili Salah received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 7th minute. Adel Kacha tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Adel Kacha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamid Saâdane in the 11th minute of play. Yannis Khaldi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 15th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After 18 played minutes Westhoughton got a freekick which was hit by Rachid Korteby. If Lili Salah had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Westhoughton defense, Hamid Saâdane kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adel Kacha. The Westhoughton fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adel Kacha should have stopped the shot. When Yannis Khaldi came up free with the goalie in the 31st minute, the Westhoughton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yannis Khaldi couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in Leek's zone, Ahmed Belaout stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamid Yahlali came out of the goal and Ahmed Belaout tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 43 minutes into the match, Leek's Hamid Saâdane sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adel Kacha narrowly saved just below the crossbar. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ahmed Belaout in the 44th minute of play forced Leek's goalkeeper Hamid Yahlali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 1-2.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Lili Salah to strike the kick off in the second half. Yannis Khaldi struck a weak shot in the 53rd minute. Hamid Yahlali didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Westhoughton. Hamid Yahlali made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Ahmed Belaout in the 55th minute of play. 59 minutes in the game, Lili Salah fired away an excellent shot, which passed to the side of the right post without Adel Kacha having to interfere. When Hamid Saâdane came up free with the goalie in the 63rd minute, the Leek fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hamid Saâdane couldn't finish the play. After a rather tough play, Westhoughton's Rachid Korteby got a free kick in the 64th minute. Lili Salah sent away a hard shot on goal in the 65th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Houd Mekhloufi during the 66th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Leek's Houd Mekhloufi got a free kick in the 67th minute. 70 minutes into the match, Leek's goal looked a bit too open when Yannis Khaldi came free, but Hamid Yahlali reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Hamid Yahlali took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Yannis Khaldi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rachid Korteby hit a great freekick 74 minutes into the match. Hamid Saâdane struck a weak shot in the 76th minute. The Westhoughton fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-2. When Yannis Khaldi came up free with the goalie in the 85th minute, the Westhoughton fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Yannis Khaldi couldn't finish the play. Leek's Hamid Saâdane got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Houd Mekhloufi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 94th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Adel Kacha came out of the goal in the 96th minute to try and stop a shot by Leek's Hamid Saâdane. But to his dismay, Hamid Saâdane quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-3. Leek played a much better game than Westhoughton and deserved their victory. The Westhoughton players were clearly disappointed as they left the ground.
