Spectators: 34 (Terracing: 26, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Benamar Oussar made the kick off which started today's match. After 3 played minutes Basildon City got a freekick which was hit by Djamel Bruel. Omar Morceli sent away a hard shot on goal in the 4th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hamid Saadane made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Benamar Oussar in the 6th minute of play. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Mouloud Saïd during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. A collision led to Basildon City getting a freekick after 7 minutes play. Mouloud Saïd hit a great ball. Cheikh Sakhri's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Kamil Sermadji read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 11th minute of play. When Mouloud Saïd was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 16 minutes had been played. The supporters of Shepshed booed when Basildon City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 17 match minutes in a wonderful position. Mouloud Saïd didn't get a good kick on the ball. Kamil Sermadji showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Adrir Badis, who was totally free with the ball in the 22nd minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 26th minute, Adrir Badis managed to get in a good position for a shot. Basildon City's supporters rose to their feet, but Adrir Badis was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Kamil Sermadji breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Adrir Badis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 28th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Adrir Badis received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Kamil Sermadji tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Abdelghani Hima kicked well hit freekick during the 33rd minute of the match. Adrir Badis fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kamil Sermadji having to interfere. Shepshed's Abdelghani Hima got a good chance for a goal in the 38th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 41stth minute of the game Benamar Oussar who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Basildon City's Hamid Saadane was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Adrir Badis recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

Kamil Sermadji made a fantastic save in the 54th minute, when Adrir Badis sent off a good shot on target. Basildon City's Hamid Saadane played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Omar Morceli in the 56th minute of play. The supporters of Shepshed booed when Basildon City was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 57 match minutes in a wonderful position. Djamel Bruel didn't get a good kick on the ball. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Benamar Oussar in the 58th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Hamid Saadane saved Basildon City from getting behind. Omar Morceli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 61st minute. Hamid Saadane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After a rather tough play, Basildon City's Djamel Bruel got a free kick in the 70th minute. Shepshed's Kamil Sermadji played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Adrir Badis in the 73rd minute of play. Benamar Oussar struck a weak shot in the 77th minute. Hamid Saadane didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shepshed. Omar Morceli received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 82nd minute. Hamid Saadane tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Adrir Badis got free with Kamil Sermadji in the 85th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. After having played for 86 minutes, Benamar Oussar managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Shepshed's supporters crossed their fingers, but Benamar Oussar was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. When Shepshed's Benamar Oussar in the 90th minute got a chance for a shot 90th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Basildon City's goalie prevented a goal. 92 minutes into the match, Shepshed's goalkeeper Kamil Sermadji had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Adrir Badis. Yunes Zeggar charged in rather forcefully in the 94th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Yunes Zeggar the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Basildon City's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
