Peterborough United's Semah Chaib played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hachemi Kader in the 7th minute of play. Semah Chaib made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hachemi Kader in the 8th minute of play. Hachemi Kader fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 9th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Semah Chaib having to interfere. Fares Nasro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When the match had gone on for 20 minutes, Chabane Boukensa put it in 0-1 from a short distance just to the right of Semah Chaib. Fares Nasro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Nadir Djamel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Hachemi Kader's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Semah Chaib was relentless in the 30th minute of the game. In the 31st match minute, Peterborough United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hicham Saâdallah to maneuver through the defense. Semah Chaib was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Chabane Boukensa blasted a shot towards the goal in the 46th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Semah Chaib having to make a save. When Hachemi Kader came up free with the goalie in the 47th minute, the Evington fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Hachemi Kader couldn't finish the play. After the first half Evington were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Nadir Djamel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Sofiane Chaib in the 59th minute of the match. If Fares Nasro had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 79th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After having played for 81 minutes, Sofiane Chaib managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Peterborough United's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sofiane Chaib was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Nadir Djamel showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Sofiane Chaib, who was totally free with the ball in the 83rd minute. Hachemi Kader fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Semah Chaib having to interfere. After 86 played minutes Peterborough United got a freekick which was hit by Hicham Saâdallah. Hachemi Kader's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Semah Chaib read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 87th minute of play. The Evington players were relieved to hear the final whistle blow to end the match. The away crowd was happy to see their team win after a very tight game.
