Issam Sofyane recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 21st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Choukri Zaaf fell near the penalty area in the 30th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Leytonstone City's protests and gave Choukri Zaaf a yellow card for diving instead. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 29th minute of the game. One of Leytonstone City:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Whitwell:s goal. In the 31st minute there was a penalty for Whitwell. Abdelkader Aounellah stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Camel Djeziri. 0-1. Leytonstone City's Camel Djeziri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hadi Douibi in the 33rd minute of play. 38 minutes into the match, Leytonstone City's Azzad Rodesli sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Djafar Betroni narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-1 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Hadi Douibi stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. The audience was convinced that Issam Sofyane's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Djafar Betroni was relentless in the 89th minute of the game. Hatim Maillot sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Djafar Betroni made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Issam Sofyane in the 95th minute of play. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Whitwell had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
