After a rather tough play, Whitstable's Yazid Merah got a free kick in the 3rd minute. 6 minutes into the match, Whitstable's goal looked a bit too open when Ahaszzi Boumedienne came free, but Anaba Mesbah reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Anaba Mesbah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ahaszzi Boumedienne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ahaszzi Boumedienne might have been able to make a better finish in the 64th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Anaba Mesbah. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Ahaszzi Boumedienne ran back to his position shaking his head. Raouf Bouzid recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Raouf Bouzid received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 68th minute. Anaba Mesbah tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The crowd rose to their feet as Ahaszzi Boumedienne kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Anaba Mesbah. That made the score 0-2 in the 70 minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 74th minute, Ahaszzi Boumedienne managed to get in a good position for a shot. Congresbury FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Ahaszzi Boumedienne was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Anaba Mesbah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Anaba Mesbah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ahaszzi Boumedienne, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute.
