In the 2nd match minute, Billericay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Naïm Besseghir to maneuver through the defense. Hicham Besseghir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Zinedine Bencherif having to interfere. Zinedine Bencherif was out of position in the 7 minute of play, and Samy Ghozali capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Samy Ghozali really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Billericay's zone, Samy Ghozali stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Zinedine Bencherif came out of the goal and Samy Ghozali tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Abdelmadjid Ammouri was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 16th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. 22 minutes into the game, Hicham Besseghir was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Stoke-on-Trent AFC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Billericay the free kick. After 22 played minutes Stoke-on-Trent AFC got a freekick which was hit by Hicham Besseghir. After 24 played minutes Billericay got a freekick which was hit by Semah Hammad. In the game's 25th minute Stoke-on-Trent AFC's Abdelmadjid Ammouri took a hard shot from long distance, a kick which went into the net just to the right of Zinedine Bencherif and thus the score was 2-0. Bahasz Lelouch kicked well hit freekick during the 27th minute of the match. After having played for 37 minutes, Tedj El Kenz managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Billericay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tedj El Kenz was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Tedj El Kenz had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Billericay's Zinedine Bencherif played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Samy Ghozali in the 42nd minute of play.

The wind increased when Tedj El Kenz made the kick off in the second half. Tedj El Kenz struck a weak shot in the 51st minute. Nasreddine Belhadj didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Billericay. If Rachid Ben Arfa had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 53rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 55 minutes into the match, Stoke-on-Trent AFC's goalkeeper Nasreddine Belhadj had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rachid Ben Arfa. Zinedine Bencherif came out of the goal in the 59th minute to try and stop a shot by Stoke-on-Trent AFC's Samy Ghozali. But to his dismay, Samy Ghozali quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 3-0. If Samy Ghozali had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 67th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With a little luck, Stoke-on-Trent AFC's Nasreddine Belhadj got control of the ball when Rachid Ben Arfa tried to sneak it across the goal line. Slimane Zughba charged in rather forcefully in the 80th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Slimane Zughba the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of Billericay booed when Stoke-on-Trent AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Slimane Zughba didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bekathen Kouici sent away a hard shot on goal in the 83rd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. Rachid Ben Arfa fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 85th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Nasreddine Belhadj having to interfere. In the 89th minute the ball was on its way in behind Stoke-on-Trent AFC's goalkeeper Nasreddine Belhadj, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. After having played for 93 minutes, Rachid Ben Arfa managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Billericay's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rachid Ben Arfa was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Stoke-on-Trent AFC's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
