Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The sun was shining, the grass was green and the audience cheered when Karim Boubekeur got the match started through his kick off. In the 3rd minute, Karim Boubekeur made a precise shot to the right of Abdelmoumène Ounissi. Cheshunt's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-1. Kader Kholt might have been able to make a better finish in the 12th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Amine Saboundji. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Kader Kholt ran back to his position shaking his head. After 13 minutes, Riad Skif mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gomersal AFC and the Cheshunt players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 13 played minutes Gomersal AFC got a freekick which was hit by Riad Skif. If Rachid Kourichi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 26th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Amdegh Bouteflika managed to get in a good position for a shot. Cheshunt's supporters rose to their feet, but Amdegh Bouteflika was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Amine Saboundji breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After 34 minutes of play, Gomersal AFC's Karim Boubekeur made it 1-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Abdelmoumène Ounissi was left in no man's land by his defense there! Rachid Kourichi recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.
Rachid Kourichi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Abdelmoumène Ounissi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kader Kholt blasted a shot towards the goal in the 60th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Amine Saboundji having to make a save. After 66 minutes, Abdelhani Khodri mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cheshunt and the Gomersal AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 65th minute of the game. One of Cheshunt:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Gomersal AFC:s goal. Azzad Zemmam placed the ball on the penalty spot and got himself ready to shoot. Post out! In the 71st minute, Ouali Cherif hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. The supporters of Cheshunt booed when Gomersal AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 76 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdelhamid Sadi didn't get a good kick on the ball. Gomersal AFC's Amine Saboundji played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Kader Kholt in the 82nd minute of play. In the 84th minute, Rachid Kourichi made a precise shot to the right of Abdelmoumène Ounissi. Cheshunt's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 2-3. Amdegh Bouteflika received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 88th minute. Amine Saboundji tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Amdegh Bouteflika recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 98th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Gomersal AFC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
