In the 5th minute the ball was on its way in behind Ipswich's goalkeeper Riad Yahia, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Ahmed Benikhlef fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chahid Laref having to interfere. Chahid Laref showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Madani Kateb, who was totally free with the ball in the 12th minute. Sayed Piaf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 15th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 16th minute, Abdelghafour Béchar hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 17th minute, Sayed Piaf got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Sayed Piaf sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Chahid Laref made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Bani Redouane in the 21st minute of play. In the 27th minute, Bani Redouane got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Bani Redouane fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chahid Laref having to interfere. If Bani Redouane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 34th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Riad Yahia made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Camil Amrouche in the 41st minute of play. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Chahid Laref took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Madani Kateb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 56th play minute Bani Redouane came free and shot an unsuspected shot which went into goal from the right pole behind a surprised Chahid Laref. 0-1. Madani Kateb fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Chahid Laref having to interfere. After 64 minutes of play, Ipswich's Bani Redouane made it 0-2 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Chahid Laref was left in no man's land by his defense there! When Camil Amrouche came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Old Leake fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Camil Amrouche couldn't finish the play. Ahmed Benikhlef hit a great freekick 70 minutes into the match. 73 minutes had been played when some careless play by Ipswich's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Zoheir Saïd was slow to take the kick. During this time Old Leake's players had a chance to rest. If Bani Redouane had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 82nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Sayed Piaf struck a weak shot in the 84th minute. Riad Yahia didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Old Leake. Bani Redouane received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Chahid Laref tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Bani Redouane sent away a hard shot on goal in the 90th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Ghalib Temmam kicked well hit freekick during the 93rd minute of the match.
