The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Fodil Sennaoui didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Yacoub Sellami went, in the 7th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-0 was the resulting score. 12 minutes into the game, Faouzi Gaddouch cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 2-1. Khaled Mezghich was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. If Faouzi Gaddouch had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. In the 20th minute Mustapha Dahleb shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Khaled Mezghich saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Holmer Green getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Adnane Feraoun hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Faouzi Gaddouch in the 26th minute of play forced Holmer Green's goalkeeper Khaled Mezghich to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Khaled Mezghich took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Faouzi Gaddouch, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 35th minute, Abdellah Sadi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The long shot by Benamar Mohamed in the 38th minute really tested Fodil Sennaoui's skills. The ball was on its way into the goal to the left of him when he managed to stretch himself and save the shot and avoid a goal. Abdellah Sadis short, quick shot in the 40thth minute got Fodil Sennaoui to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. Thanks to some nice moves Abdellah Sadi could shoot a difficult shot in the 42nd minute, which Fodil Sennaoui however easily saved by the left post. In the 44th minute of the match, Abdellah Sadi got a very nice opportunity to score, but Fodil Sennaoui was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Abdellah Sadi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 45th minute of the match, but Fodil Sennaoui made a huge save. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 3-1.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Yacoub Sellami to strike the kick off in the second half. 60 minutes into the match, Holmer Green's Abdellah Sadi sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Fodil Sennaoui narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 62 minutes, Ikhlas Tellidji mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Holmer Green and the Swanley players grew even worse after the yellow card. Ikhlas Tellidji kicked well hit freekick during the 62nd minute of the match. Swanley's Mustapha Dahleb got a good chance for a goal in the 63rd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. If Mustapha Dahleb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 71st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Khaled Mezghich made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Faouzi Gaddouch in the 72nd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Faouzi Gaddouch fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Khaled Mezghich, passed just outside the right post. Fodil Sennaoui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Abdellah Sadi, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Holmer Green's fans were exulted and cheered after their team won in a match that could easily have gone the other way.
