Nadir Aflelou made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cheikh Abid in the 25th minute of play. Houari Teissier hit a great freekick 27 minutes into the match. Benamar Mohamed made an important save on a dangerous shot by Sofyane Djeballi in the 31st minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mehdi Hamdaoui in the 37th minute of play forced Sleaford's goalkeeper Nadir Aflelou to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Sofyane Djeballi took the ball and in the 41 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Benamar Mohamed. Benamar Mohamed dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 2-0. Sofyane Djeballi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 47th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The Sleaford fans' excitement grew in the 60th match minute when Sleaford's Jabar Benbrahim looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. The shot wasn't hard, but the ball still rolled over the goal line to make it 3-0 before the goalkeeper had a chance to intervene. In the 70th match minute, Sawtry City was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hamid Kader to maneuver through the defense. Nadir Aflelou was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Cheikh Abid showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 3-1 in the 79 minute of play. Hamid Kader hit a great freekick 82 minutes into the match. If Jabar Benbrahim had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Jabar Benbrahim struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Benamar Mohamed didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sleaford. Benamar Mohamed came out of the goal in the 89th minute to try and stop a shot by Sleaford's Sofyane Djeballi. But to his dismay, Sofyane Djeballi quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 4-1. Mehdi Hamdaoui struck a weak shot in the 94th minute. Nadir Aflelou didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Sawtry City. In the 95th minute, Houari Teissier hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. For all the effort they put into the match, the Sawtry City players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Sleaford.
