When Nawfel Zahouania came up free with the goalie in the 17th minute, the Heckmondwike AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Nawfel Zahouania couldn't finish the play. Nawfel Zahouania sent away a hard shot on goal in the 19th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. An unexpected shot in the 21st minute by Ifthen Baali got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. The crowd rose to their feet as Nawfel Zahouania kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Hamid Belkacem. That made the score 1-0 in the 21 minute of play. In the 24th minute, Abdelkrim Sadaoui got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Frawsen Nemchi took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Farouk Kateb, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nabil Ouadah charged in rather forcefully in the 28th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nabil Ouadah the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 29th match minute, Heckmondwike AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nabil Ouadah to maneuver through the defense. In the 32nd minute, Farouk Kateb got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Farouk Kateb in the 38th minute of play forced Heckmondwike AFC's goalkeeper Frawsen Nemchi to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Farouk Kateb had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 41st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Farouk Kateb's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Frawsen Nemchi read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 44th minute of play. After 46 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for New Cross! Af the end of the first half the score was 2-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.

The wind increased when Abdelkrim Sadaoui made the kick off in the second half. Zahi Bridji received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Frawsen Nemchi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ifthen Baali took the ball and in the 66 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Hamid Belkacem. Hamid Belkacem dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. Ifthen Baali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamid Belkacem having to interfere. In the 76th minute Nawfel Zahouania shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Hamid Belkacem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ifthen Baali struck a weak shot in the 82nd minute. Hamid Belkacem didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Heckmondwike AFC. In the 84th minute, Ifthen Baali got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. The supporters of Heckmondwike AFC booed when New Cross was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 88 match minutes in a wonderful position. Anther Hammad didn't get a good kick on the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Moïse Sandjak during the 91st minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After 90 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle.
