In the 20th minute, Bury St Edmunds AFC's Bakki Liegeon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-1. When the match clock showed 23 minutes, the score became 1-2 when Sid Ali Kraouche sped through Bury St Edmunds AFC's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Kylian Bouzina. In the 26th match minute, Bury St Edmunds AFC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ferhat Moll to maneuver through the defense. Bakki Liegeon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 37th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Amjad Belfaa having to interfere. Bahi Salah could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 39th minute of the match, but Amjad Belfaa made a huge save. When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sid Ali Kraouche made a kick off. Kylian Bouzina was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Nacer Fergani showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-3 in the 52 minute of play. After 55 played minutes Bury St Edmunds AFC got a freekick which was hit by Rayan Benichou. Kylian Bouzina didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 59th minute, which inside left pole to 1-4. 65 minutes into the match, Bury St Edmunds AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Sid Ali Kraouche came free, but Kylian Bouzina reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zidan Benboudaoud kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. After 73 minutes Bury St Edmunds AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. Amjad Belfaa showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Bahi Salah in the 83rd minute of the match. Amjad Belfaa came out of the goal in the 86th minute to try and stop a shot by Bury St Edmunds AFC's Bahi Salah. But to his dismay, Bahi Salah quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 2-4. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Basingstoke had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
