Rabie Meknassa took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Adam Mzali. Runcorn's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 10th match minute, Sudbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Fouad Benida to maneuver through the defense. If Taha Kholt had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hafs Trari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Mzali having to interfere. In the 14th match minute, Sudbury was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tami Hamid Brahima to maneuver through the defense. Runcorn's Taha Kholt got a good chance for a goal in the 16th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Sudbury's zone, Ammar Badis stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hachem Harkati came out of the goal and Ammar Badis tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 24 minutes of play, Sudbury's Hafs Trari made it 0-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Adam Mzali was left in no man's land by his defense there! After some careless play in the Runcorn defense, Tami Hamid Brahima kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adam Mzali. The Runcorn fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adam Mzali should have stopped the shot. Hafs Trari fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 39th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adam Mzali having to interfere. In the 40th minute Tami Hamid Brahima shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Adam Mzali saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Lamine Djaadaoui in the 42nd minute of play forced Runcorn's goalkeeper Adam Mzali to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Hafs Trari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 44th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hachem Harkati didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Taha Kholt went, in the 47th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Tami Hamid Brahima to make the kick off. After 56 minutes, Mehdi Abdelghani mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Runcorn and the Sudbury players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 57th match minute, Runcorn was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mehdi Abdelghani to maneuver through the defense. Hafs Trari succeeded to score despite a near miss that spronge from right pole into the goal to 1-3 in the 58th playminute. Adam Mzali showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hafs Trari, who was totally free with the ball in the 66th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 73rd minute, Taha Kholt managed to get in a good position for a shot. Runcorn's supporters rose to their feet, but Taha Kholt was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Hachem Harkati breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Ammar Badis had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 75th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Hachem Harkati made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Taha Kholt in the 80th minute of play. The supporters of Sudbury booed when Runcorn was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 81 match minutes in a wonderful position. Otman Mérah-Benida didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mehdi Abdelghani kicked well hit freekick during the 83rd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Sudbury's Tami Hamid Brahima got a free kick in the 84th minute. Hafs Trari might have been able to make a better finish in the 94th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Adam Mzali. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Hafs Trari ran back to his position shaking his head. The crowd rose to their feet as Tami Hamid Brahima kicked a wonderful shot that went in to the left of a diving Adam Mzali. That made the score 2-4 in the 95 minute of play. 98 minutes into the match, Taha Kholt notched a goal, 3-4, to the right of Sudbury's Hachem Harkati. Hachem Harkati was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. The Runcorn supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sudbury's performance. The match ended with a win for Sudbury.
