Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Hamid El Kebir started the match with the kick off. Khalil Aouchich struck a weak shot in the 5th minute. Ismael Chaffaï didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Shrewsbury. If Hamid El Kebir had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 7th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. After a rather tough play, Holford AFC's Afaghis Mebtoul got a free kick in the 11th minute. In the 12th minute, Chadli Debbagh sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Holford AFC's Ismael Chaffaï didn't even have to move. In the 18th minute Hamid El Kebir shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Ismael Chaffaï saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Holford AFC's zone, Khalil Aouchich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Chaffaï came out of the goal and Khalil Aouchich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Khalil Aouchich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 29th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Khalil Aouchich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 34th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Chaffaï having to interfere. Hamid El Kebir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 36th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. 38 minutes into the match, Holford AFC's goal looked a bit too open when Hamid El Kebir came free, but Ismael Chaffaï reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 40 minutes Holford AFC's defender was forced to head the ball over the line for a corner. It was Chadli Debbagh who took care of the corner kick. Hamdane Bouziane was in a good position and managed to take a shot, but he missed just to the outside of the post. Hamdane Bouziane hit a great freekick 40 minutes into the match. Hamid El Kebir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Chaffaï having to interfere. After 47 played minutes Holford AFC got a freekick which was hit by Islem Assam. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

In the 53rd minute Nasserredine Zaaf shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Fares Maâti saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Holford AFC's Ismael Chaffaï played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hamid El Kebir in the 55th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Holford AFC's zone, Khalil Aouchich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ismael Chaffaï came out of the goal and Khalil Aouchich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Hamid El Kebir sent away a hard shot on goal in the 68th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hamid El Kebir fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 80th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ismael Chaffaï having to interfere. When Habib Kazi-Tani came up free with the goalie in the 82nd minute, the Holford AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Habib Kazi-Tani couldn't finish the play. Nasserredine Zaaf received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 83rd minute. Fares Maâti tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ismael Chaffaï made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Hamid El Kebir in the 86th minute of play. Khalil Aouchich's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 87thth minute, Ismael Chaffaï skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Ismael Chaffaï showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Hamid El Kebir, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. In the 97th minute the ball was on its way in behind Holford AFC's goalkeeper Ismael Chaffaï, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. The Shrewsbury players were the happier at the end of the match as they had prevented Holford AFC from taking control. The game ends in a draw.
