If Djamel Zeghbouche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 5th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Anwa Khabatou sent away a hard shot on goal in the 8th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Hamdane Besseghir came out of the goal in the 9th minute to try and stop a shot by Stevenage's Djamel Zeghbouche. But to his dismay, Djamel Zeghbouche quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-1. Stevenage's Ahmed Bellil played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Sabri Benhelal in the 14th minute of play. Hamza Semghouni sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a defensive mix-up in Filey AFC's zone, Djamel Zeghbouche stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Hamdane Besseghir came out of the goal and Djamel Zeghbouche tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Kacem Louahla's late challenge caught a Stevenage's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Kacem Louahla helped the player get up and apologised. Kacem Louahla kicked well hit freekick during the 24th minute of the match. Djamel Zeghbouche sent away a hard shot on goal in the 31st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. A collision led to Filey AFC getting a freekick after 32 minutes play. Bechir Embarek hit a great ball. 34 minutes into the match, Djamel Zeghbouche notched a goal, 1-2, to the right of Filey AFC's Hamdane Besseghir. Hamdane Besseghir was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. If Anwa Khabatou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 39th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Atmane Meriem during the 40th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. In the 41st minute, Hamza Semghouni got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After 46 minutes of play Filey AFC's Kacem Louahla was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. Kacem Louahla kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. Luck had favoured the away team in the first, and they walked off with a 1-2 lead.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Anwa Khabatou stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. After some fancy dribbling in the 53rd minute, Sabri Benhelal managed to get in a good position for a shot. Filey AFC's supporters rose to their feet, but Sabri Benhelal was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ahmed Bellil breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Stevenage getting a freekick after 56 minutes play. Djamel Zeghbouche hit a great ball. Sabri Benhelal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 61st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ahmed Bellil having to interfere. If Sabri Sadi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After some careless play in the Stevenage defense, Anwa Khabatou kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Ahmed Bellil. The Stevenage fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Ahmed Bellil should have stopped the shot. Djamel Zeghbouche fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 79th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hamdane Besseghir having to interfere. After 81 minutes, Mansour Benattia mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Filey AFC and the Stevenage players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 81st minute, Mansour Benattia hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Bechir Embarek charged in rather forcefully in the 87th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Bechir Embarek the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. After having played for 88 minutes, Mohand El Aychi managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Stevenage's supporters crossed their fingers, but Mohand El Aychi was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Stevenage's zone, Anwa Khabatou stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ahmed Bellil came out of the goal and Anwa Khabatou tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Anwa Khabatou received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 92nd minute. Ahmed Bellil tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Hamdane Besseghir made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mohand El Aychi in the 95th minute. In the 99th minute, Djamel Zeghbouche got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
