Khalil El Annabi showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Amhaws Aflelou in the 30th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Swindon FC's goal looked a bit too open when Amhaws Aflelou came free, but Khalil El Annabi reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Zine-Eddine Danedji sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Aylan Fochtali fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khalil El Annabi having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 44th minute, Amhaws Aflelou managed to get in a good position for a shot. Aveley's supporters rose to their feet, but Amhaws Aflelou was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Khalil El Annabi breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. If Zine-Eddine Danedji had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 49th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.

Aveley's Aylan Fochtali suffered a concussion in the 81st minute, after a hard challenge, and had to leave the field. During the 81st minute of the match Lamine Yahlali completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lamine Yahlali a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. In the 82nd match minute, Swindon FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lamine Yahlali to maneuver through the defense. In the 83rd minute of the game, Abdelmoumène Hammad landed unfortunately after trying to head the ball, and pulled a muscle in the back, so badly that he had to leave the field. Khalil El Annabi tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Aveley fans cheered their team off the field, for while Swindon FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
