Kamel Ghoumari in the 5thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Abdelmalek Guergour, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Sammy Dhyab blasted a shot towards the goal in the 10th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Seddik Zaoui having to make a save. 11 minutes into the game, Benamar Khaled was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Sheffield United's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Barnetby Le Wold the free kick. The supporters of Barnetby Le Wold booed when Sheffield United was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Benamar Khaled didn't get a good kick on the ball. Seddik Zaoui stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Sammy Dhyab's shot from short distance in the 13th minute. In the 14th match minute, Sheffield United was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Otman Abrika to maneuver through the defense. Seddik Zaoui took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Admer Mammech, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Seddik Zaoui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Admer Mammech in the 25th minute of play. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mabrouk Kaci Said in the 34th minute of play forced Barnetby Le Wold's goalkeeper Abdelmalek Guergour to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 37 minutes into the game, Kamel Ghoumari lined in a short shot 1-0 behind a frustrated Abdelmalek Guergour. The audience was convinced that Sammy Dhyab's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Seddik Zaoui was relentless in the 42nd minute of the game. Admer Mammech recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 44th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mabrouk Kaci Said kicked well hit freekick during the 47th minute of the match. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Mabrouk Kaci Said to make the kick off. Seddik Zaoui was out of position in the 52 minute of play, and Sammy Dhyab capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Sammy Dhyab really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. After a defensive mix-up in Sheffield United's zone, Sammy Dhyab stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Seddik Zaoui came out of the goal and Sammy Dhyab tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Sammy Dhyab received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Seddik Zaoui tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Seddik Zaoui made a fantastic save in the 72nd minute, when Admer Mammech sent off a good shot on target. Admer Mammech received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. When Sheffield United's Mabrouk Kaci Said in 92 game minutes managed to cut through with the ball in front of the goal, only having to shoot. Abdelmalek Guergour guarding the goal like a pit bull was extremely focused and managed to reach the ball just by the crossbar before it went in. Kamel Ghoumari sent away a hard shot on goal in the 94th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Both teams had looked equal from kick-off, and no-one was surprised when the match finally ended in a draw.
