Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Faudel Ziani made the kick off which started today's match. 4 minutes into the match, Battersea's goal looked a bit too open when Faudel Ziani came free, but Abdallah Adjani reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Mustapha Guerroum sent away a hard shot on goal in the 7th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 8 played minutes Kendal got a freekick which was hit by Mohamed Kazi-Tani. If Abdechahid Ramdani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 11th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Faudel Ziani in the 13th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Abdallah Adjani prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When the match had gone on for 16 minutes, Faudel Ziani took a quick shot and it went in 1-0 without a chance for Abdallah Adjani to make any attempt to save it. In the 24th minute, Mustapha Guerroum got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Mohand Sadi didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Salem Yahia went, in the 28th minute, to the upper right corner, 1-2 was the resulting score. In the 31st minute, Battersea's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Abdechahid Ramdani fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. The supporters of Kendal booed when Battersea was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fahim Zeghbouche didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 39th minute, Kendal's Faudel Ziani dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-2. Mohand Sadi showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Mustapha Guerroum, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. When Abdechahid Ramdani came up free with the goalie in the 44th minute, the Kendal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Abdechahid Ramdani couldn't finish the play. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Faudel Ziani in the 46th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Abdallah Adjani saved Battersea from getting behind. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.
The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Mustapha Guerroum to strike the kick off in the second half. After a defensive mix-up in Kendal's zone, Salem Yahia stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Mohand Sadi came out of the goal and Salem Yahia tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 54th minute, Abdechahid Ramdani managed to get in a good position for a shot. Kendal's supporters rose to their feet, but Abdechahid Ramdani was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Abdallah Adjani breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. When the match clock showed 56 minutes, the score became 3-2 when Faudel Ziani sped through Battersea's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Abdallah Adjani. If Faudel Ziani had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 73rd minute of the match Badis Boulmerka shot from a long distance. The ball could have gone into the goal to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abdallah Adjani showed his good shape when he easily got hold of the ball. Abdechahid Ramdani's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Abdallah Adjani read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 76th minute of play. Faudel Ziani sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Faudel Ziani came up free with the goalie in the 88th minute, the Kendal fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Faudel Ziani couldn't finish the play. After 89 minutes of play Battersea's Zinedine Meniri was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. A collision led to Kendal getting a freekick after 91 minutes play. Faudel Ziani hit a great ball. After having played for 93 minutes, Abdechahid Ramdani managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Kendal's supporters crossed their fingers, but Abdechahid Ramdani was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After some careless play in the Battersea defense, Faudel Ziani kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abdallah Adjani. The Battersea fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abdallah Adjani should have stopped the shot. There was no doubt that Kendal were the better team. Kendal's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
