The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Ishak Kermali during the 3rd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Ishak Kermali hit a great freekick 4 minutes into the match. After having played for 5 minutes, Tedj Debbagh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guisborough's supporters crossed their fingers, but Tedj Debbagh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Sanaa Zemirline showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tedj Debbagh in the 6th minute of the match. When the match clock showed 9 minutes, the score became 1-0 when Mouloud Mezdad sped through Guisborough's defense and sent away a curving shot that went into the net to the right of Akram Reda Madouni. Mouloud Mezdad's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Akram Reda Madouni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 12th minute of play. Tedj Debbagh fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sanaa Zemirline having to interfere. Kettering FC's Sanaa Zemirline played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nordine Radjef in the 25th minute of play. If Nordine Radjef had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 27th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Amar Chaffaï fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Akram Reda Madouni having to interfere. A hard shot 37 in the game by Amar Chaffaï from a close distance when the talented Akram Reda Madouni managed to make a qualified save. Guisborough's players were relieved. When Fawzi Racim fell near the penalty area in the 41st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Kettering FC's protests and gave Fawzi Racim a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Guisborough booed when Kettering FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 41 match minutes in a wonderful position. Fawzi Racim didn't get a good kick on the ball. Sanaa Zemirline took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nordine Radjef, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Nordine Radjef in the 56th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Sanaa Zemirline prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Nordine Radjef fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 62nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sanaa Zemirline having to interfere. Sanaa Zemirline showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nordine Radjef, who was totally free with the ball in the 65th minute. In the 67th minute, Amar Chaffaï got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 70th minute the ball was on its way in behind Kettering FC's goalkeeper Sanaa Zemirline, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Nordine Radjef received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Sanaa Zemirline tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 80th minute, Fawzi Racim hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 86th minute, one of Guisborough:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Guisborough. In the 91st match minute, Guisborough was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tijani Haddou to maneuver through the defense. Sanaa Zemirline made an important save on a dangerous shot by Tedj Debbagh in the 97th minute.
