Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) The field was rather wet after several days of rain when Mouloud Mezdad took the kick off in the first half of the match. With 3 minutes on the clock, Abdelkrim El Ouafi commited a dangerous tackle. The referee had no choice but to show him the red card. 2 minutes into the game, one of Kettering FC:s players got tackled near the goal, and the referee blew for a penalty. In the 5th minute there was a penalty for Battersea. Mohand Mamouni stepped forward and shot the ball to the right of a diving Sanaa Zemirline. 1-0. After a defensive mix-up in Kettering FC's zone, Mustapha Guerroum stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Sanaa Zemirline came out of the goal and Mustapha Guerroum tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience was convinced that Mustapha Guerroum's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Sanaa Zemirline was relentless in the 24th minute of the game. Salem Yahia received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 25th minute. Sanaa Zemirline tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Sanaa Zemirline stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Mustapha Guerroum's shot from short distance in the 28th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Mustapha Guerroum in the 36th minute of play forced Kettering FC's goalkeeper Sanaa Zemirline to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Af the end of the first half the score was 1-0. The first half had gone as expected for the home team.
60 minutes into the match, Battersea's Mustapha Guerroum sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Sanaa Zemirline narrowly saved just below the crossbar. Mustapha Guerroum recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Mustapha Guerroum fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Sanaa Zemirline having to interfere. 79 minutes into the game, Battersea's Zinedine Meniri nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Sanaa Zemirline made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Sanaa Zemirline showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Salem Yahia, who was totally free with the ball in the 86th minute. In the 88th minute Salem Yahia shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Sanaa Zemirline saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Mustapha Guerroum's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Sanaa Zemirline read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 89th minute of play. In the 90th minute, Mustapha Guerroum got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Battersea's Mustapha Guerroum got a good chance for a goal in the 92nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 94 minutes into the match, Kettering FC's goal looked a bit too open when Mustapha Guerroum came free, but Sanaa Zemirline reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Battersea's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
