Cherif Sellal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 8th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Bassim Sennaoui having to interfere. Alsan Zemirline hit a great freekick 11 minutes into the match. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 13th minute of the game. One of Holland-on-Sea AFC:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Launceston:s goal. The referee gave Launceston a penalty, 16 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Fouad Attaf, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Holland-on-Sea AFC's Bassim Sennaoui. 0-1. After 20 played minutes Holland-on-Sea AFC got a freekick which was hit by Moncef Halimi. Bassim Sennaoui made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Cherif Sellal in the 23rd minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Holland-on-Sea AFC's zone, Lili Madouni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bassim Sennaoui came out of the goal and Lili Madouni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. If Cherif Sellal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 40th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Zoheir Djamel kicked well hit freekick during the 42nd minute of the match. Ilassen Abdenouz's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Rachid Moll read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 48th minute of play. After the first half Launceston were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Cherif Sellal made a kick off. Fouad Attaf hit a great freekick 55 minutes into the match. Launceston's Rachid Moll played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ilassen Abdenouz in the 58th minute of play. After a defensive mix-up in Holland-on-Sea AFC's zone, Lili Madouni stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bassim Sennaoui came out of the goal and Lili Madouni tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Lili Madouni got free with Bassim Sennaoui in the 64th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The supporters of Launceston booed when Holland-on-Sea AFC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Moncef Halimi didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 68th minute of the match, Cherif Sellal tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bassim Sennaoui saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Zoheir Djamel during the 77th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Holland-on-Sea AFC's Zoheir Djamel got a free kick in the 77th minute. After recieving a nice pass, Launceston's Fouad Attaf tried to score from far away in the 78th minute, but the ball went over the crossbar. The supporters of Holland-on-Sea AFC booed when Launceston was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Abdelnasser Adjimi didn't get a good kick on the ball. 84 minutes into the match, Holland-on-Sea AFC's goalkeeper Bassim Sennaoui had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lili Madouni. After some careless play in the Holland-on-Sea AFC defense, Lili Madouni kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bassim Sennaoui. The Holland-on-Sea AFC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bassim Sennaoui should have stopped the shot. Cherif Sellal kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Launceston walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
