Spectators: 35 (Terracing: 27, Seating: 8, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Aras Mezghich started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Larbi Bouazza shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Oualid El Kebir saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a rather tough play, Ashton-under-Lyne United's Tedj Benyamina got a free kick in the 3rd minute. Aras Mezghich who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 6thth minute tested the skills of Billel Zaâmoucha when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Oualid El Kebir took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Chedli Medjiba, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 15 minutes into the match, Ashton-under-Lyne United's goal looked a bit too open when Billel Damardji came free, but Oualid El Kebir reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Bermondsey's zone, Aras Mezghich stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Billel Zaâmoucha came out of the goal and Aras Mezghich tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Oualid El Kebir made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Billel Damardji in the 30th minute of play. Larbi Bouazza fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 31st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oualid El Kebir having to interfere. After some careless play in the Ashton-under-Lyne United defense, Billel Damardji kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Oualid El Kebir. The Ashton-under-Lyne United fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Oualid El Kebir should have stopped the shot. Aras Mezghich in the 40thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Billel Zaâmoucha, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Aras Mezghich got free with Billel Zaâmoucha in the 46th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The wind increased when Billel Damardji made the kick off in the second half. After 51 played minutes Bermondsey got a freekick which was hit by Mustapha Djahnine. Djillali Bouziane was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 52nd played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Aras Mezghich sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Billel Zaâmoucha made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Aras Mezghich in the 61st minute of play. Aras Mezghich fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 64th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Billel Zaâmoucha having to interfere. Chedli Medjiba's late challenge caught a Ashton-under-Lyne United's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Chedli Medjiba helped the player get up and apologised. Billel Zaâmoucha showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Aras Mezghich in the 68th minute of the match. Larbi Bouazza could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 70th minute of the match, but Oualid El Kebir made a huge save. Billel Zaâmoucha took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Aras Mezghich, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Makhlouf Amrouche had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 85th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. 88 minutes into the game, Ashton-under-Lyne United's Aras Mezghich nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Billel Zaâmoucha made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. When the referee ended the match the Ashton-under-Lyne United players were able to celebrate. They had won a fair victory and recieved the ovations of their fans.
