Tayeb Zouccal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Larbi Bensaïd having to interfere. When Tayeb Zouccal came up free with the goalie in the 8th minute, the Cleethorpes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Tayeb Zouccal couldn't finish the play. Hafs Abdiche received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Ramzi Zemirline tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rayan Nabil sent away a hard shot on goal in the 26th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Rayan Nabil stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. If Tayeb Zouccal had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 52nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Cleethorpes's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Hafs Abdiche was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 3-0. Cleethorpes's Ramzi Zemirline played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Hafs Abdiche in the 86th minute of play. If Karim Benhamou had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 88th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Karim Benhamou came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Cleethorpes fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Karim Benhamou couldn't finish the play. After having played for 97 minutes, Tayeb Zouccal managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. For all the effort they put into the match, the Cleethorpes players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Malton.
